First Foreign Textile Firm in Country Starts Work

Sinkiang Ailize Textile Co Ltd, the first exclusively foreign-owned enterprise in Shihezi city of Sinkiang province, marked its first day of production recently.
Owned by Saudi Arabia-based textile industry AJLAN Group, Sinkiang Ailize Textile Co will process the 0.3 million tons of raw cotton made in Shihezi city into cotton yarn and rapidly increase the local spinning level.
Sinkiang province, whose output of raw cotton was over 2 million tons last year, is one of the most important cotton production bases in China. Shihezi city, on the other hand, is famous for export of quality cotton and production of color cotton.
So far, AJLAN Group has set up five of its branches in China. AJLAN owns the biggest production base of Arabia headbands, robes, trousers and underwear in the world.
